... is located in Macon County, in western North Carolina, on secluded acreage in a large valley. From our valley you'll enjoy a 360 degree view of pastures and mountain ranges.

Access to Sit a Spell Cabin is via Route 28, a paved highway, and Lakey Creek Road, also well maintained and marked. Our cabin rests on Lakey Creek Drive. We don’t have many neighbors, and the ones we do have are quiet and almost invisible. We’d like our guests to be as low key as the surroundings.

Sit a Spell Cabin is compact and simple, tastefully decorated. It's designed for one or two non-smoking adults, with a queen sized bed in one bedroom and a twin sized daybed in the “reading room”/second bedroom. All linens are supplied. There is one bathroom with a shower.

The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, electric range, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, coffee maker with timer; dishes, glasses, and silverware.

If you like to cook on vacation, you’ll appreciate the pots and pans, knives, utensils, and basic spices and seasonings we keep on hand.

The kitchen easily accommodates a table and four chairs, so you can spread out your maps and brochures and plan your day over a second cup of coffee.

Our living room is comfy, with space to read, watch TV, listen to music, play games or cards, and unwind in front of a fire.
Sit a Spell Cabin has a TV/DVD/VCR player and satellite, so you can enjoy your choice of entertainment. Pop in a movie, turn on your favorite sport or TV show, and relax.

A large deck means you can bird watch, yoga, read, or just unwind to the sounds of nature.
